For over 15 years, Katix has navigated many branches of the business world in Spanish and English. 

Katix grew up in Iowa, and has lived throughout the US, as well as Spain, Mexico, Palestine and Morocco. 

She is fluent in Spanish, including professional vocabulary related to the legal system, health care, recreation, the transportation industry, and behavioral health.  

She most recently spent six years as a domestic violence counselor and victim advocate, working with English and Spanish-speaking women in the Denver metro area.  This included facilitating Spanish-language support groups, guiding Spanish-speaking abuse victims through the legal system as a court advocate, and creating a professional 90-minute video in Spanish for women seeking civil protection orders. 

In her spare time, she enjoys dirt bike riding, swing dancing, restoring vehicles, and travel.  Over the years she has performed with many singing groups, including touring Mexico with Sol Mestizo, performing music of the Americas with African roots.
